

Jon Rosbrook - Production Manager

After graduating from SUNY at Oswego with a BA in Music, Jon Rosbrook began his professional career as a sound engineer with All-Sound Audio in North Quincy MA. He toured the Northeast and Midwest as a monitor engineer for four years with national acts including Poco, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Ike and Tina Turner. In 1977 he became the Tour Manager for Meat Loaf on an 18-month tour that eventually encompassed 23 countries and over 100 performances. He continued to tour manage until 1985 for many artists including Ian Hunter & Mick Ronson, Ellen Foley, Todd Rundgren, Dokken and Metallica.
In 1985 he began working as a Production Manager / Promoter Rep for the Don Law Co, later to become SFX / CCE / Live Nation. Concurrent with that position Mr. Rosbrook worked as Production Manager for the Lyons Group Inc., who own and operate most of Boston’s premiere

nightclub venues. Based in Boston but covering the entire New England region, the Don Law Co. has presented the lion’s share of live concerts over the past 35 years. He has worked in every conceivable type of concert venue ranging from 750 seat showcase clubs through theatres, arenas, amphitheatres, stadiums and open field festivals.
Mr. Rosbrook has worked with all types of musical and theatrical presentations and, for 14 years produced the Tanglewood Jazz Festival for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Owing to the length and breadth of his professional career, his experience in all areas of production is far-reaching and includes sound and lighting systems, video production, rigging, building and event management, artist relations, radio and press, security, crowd control, heavy equipment and trucking, crew management – union and non-union – show settlement, stage and scenic design, fundraising and corporate events, and Presidential Inaugural Balls.
